The Secondary School Committee is an active and viable unit that has also grown into a number of individuals representing members across the state. This group has the responsibility to address the many issues faced by certified athletic trainers in the secondary school setting throughout the State of Tennessee.

Some of their projects include assisting members with information from the NATA position proposal guide to better acquaint school administrators, parental groups, coaches and school boards on the value of certified athletic trainer services at the secondary school level.

Another very important project is working with our governmental affairs to improve conditions and educate those in decision-making positions for teacher/athletic trainers. They are working to better develop our relationship with the TSSAA and other important organizations to enhance the delivery of healthcare to the student-athlete.
